FMCSA says drivers using the revoked TRUCKSTAFF ELD are to be placed out of service starting Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The agency said it removed the device from the list of registered ELDs on June 23, 2026 because the company did not meet the minimum requirements in Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395. FMCSA also said the period for motor carriers to use paper logs while updating to a new ELD has ended.
According to FMCSA, safety officials who encounter a driver using the revoked ELD, or improperly using paper logs, should cite 395.8(a)(1) and place the driver out of service in line with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Out-of-Service Criteria.
