FMCSA says it removed three ELD entries from its registered list on May 7, 2026, and that the devices are now subject to out-of-service action if found in use.

As of July 7, 2026, safety officials who encounter a driver using the revoked ELDs, or improperly using paper logs, should cite 395.8(a)(1) and place the driver out of service in accordance with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance out-of-service criteria, according to FMCSA.

FMCSA said the companies failed to meet the minimum requirements in Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395. The agency also said the period for motor carriers to use paper logs while updating to a new ELD has ended.

The revoked devices listed by FMCSA are:

  • Safe ELD, model number SafeELD-Android, ELD identifier ELD42A, ELD provider BEMOREX, INC
  • Safe ELD, model number SafeELD-IOS, ELD identifier ELD42A, ELD provider BEMOREX, INC
  • MYLOGS ELD, model number MYLGS2 (f/k/a MYLGS), ELD identifier MRS202 (f/k/a MRS201), ELD provider Mylogs Inc.

FMCSA said more information is available in the email sent to its subscriber list on May 7, 2026, and the agency also invites readers to sign up for email updates.
