FMCSA revokes TRUCKSTAFF ELD from registered list
FMCSA removed TRUCKSTAFF ELD from its Registered ELDs list on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after the company failed to meet the minimum requirements in Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395.
The revoked device is listed as:
- ELD Name: TRUCKSTAFF ELD
- Model Number: TRKSF
- ELD Identifier: TRS227
- ELD Provider: Truckstaff ELD
According to FMCSA, motor carriers have up to 60 days to replace the revoked ELD with a compliant ELD. The agency says carriers and drivers using the device must discontinue using it and revert to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.
FMCSA says the replacement must come from the Registered ELDs list before August 23, 2026. Carriers and drivers who keep using the device on or after that date will be in violation of 49 CFR 395.8(a)(1), "No record of duty status," and drivers will be placed out of service under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Out-of-Service Criteria.
FMCSA also said that if the provider corrects all identified deficiencies, the agency will put the ELD back on the list of registered devices and inform the industry and the field of the update. The agency said it strongly encourages motor carriers to take the listed actions now to avoid compliance issues if the deficiencies are not fixed.
