OOIDA opens new membership page with dues and options

OOIDA has posted a new membership page that spells out dues, add-on options, and how the group says it handles member information.

The page says OOIDA represents the nation’s small business truckers and that its membership gives the association financial depth for court cases and weight in Washington, D.C. It also invites visitors to request information about OOIDA and what it can do for them.

For standard membership, the page lists these prices: 1 year for $45, 2 years for $70, 3 years for $100, 4 years for $130, and 5 years for $150. It also says members can add a spouse for $10 per year, with spouse coverage available for 1 to 5 years.

The page includes a lifetime member option and says callers should contact the membership department at 816-229-5791. The listed lifetime prices are $500.00 for a non consecutive member or new member, $250.00 for a current 5 year consecutive member, and $125.00 for a current 10 year consecutive member.

The membership form asks for name, address, mobile number, email address, password, industry title, number of trucks owned, date of birth, and number of membership years. It also asks whether the applicant wants a free subscription to Land Line Magazine.

The form includes options for industry title such as Company Driver, Owner-Operator - Own Authority, Owner-Operator - Leased to Company, and Other Industry Professional. For Other Industry Professional, the page lists Accounting, Broker, Dispatcher, Pilot Car Service, Investor, Dock Worker, Media, Manufacturing, Motor Carrier Manager / Director, Marketing / Public Relations, Maintenance Engineer, Recruiter, School / Director / Instructor / Student, Sales & Service, and Truck Stop.

The page also includes spouse information, additional driver information, and payment fields. It says there are no drivers listed in the driver section and notes a maximum number of drivers reached message.

Under payment information, the page lists American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa as supported credit cards. It also includes a consent option for automatically paying future renewals, with a note that payment details may be stored for future use.

OOIDA says it has a very strict policy on releasing member information to outside parties and points readers to its Privacy Policy link for questions about information handling.
